The Burke Family in Ireland 2024
Burke magic
An unexpected situation arose recently, where I had an opportunity to have a cuppa with two of the Burke family. Both were ordinary, yet extraordinary all at once. My experience of them was that they are truly anchored in their beliefs and have the strength of character that in person, exudes decency, honesty, integrity, determination, perseverance and intelligence, with a dash of humour thrown in.
The Burkes don’t know me, but vaguely knew I suppose, that I support their efforts. Not once during our encounter, did the Burkes try to sell me anything. Not once did they try to persuade me of anything. Not once did they show any animosity towards their nay-sayers. They are ‘simply’ following a path they strongly believe in, a path that is steeped in real values. A path that the powers are not equipped to handle, on any level.
The presence of the Burkes right now in this phase of our national evolution has been, and will continue to be, vital. And all they have to do is continue to be themselves, no matter what’s thrown at them, which actually takes less effort than the energy required to try to thwart them.
Through their various situations, they have given all of us a number of gifts
- an opportunity to look at ourselves, who we are, and what we stand for, on a personal as well as a national level.
- the time, to shine spotlights on a number of situations that the powers didn’t ever want us to know about.
- they have highlighted corruption, hypocrisy and bullying-behind-closed-doors; also on a personal as well as a national level.
Coverage of Burke news by MSM has proved yet again, that MSM is nothing more than propaganda for the official narrative – no real, unbiased, factual, reporting in sight. Quite the opposite. And that has been a very useful eye-opener for a lot of people.
Politicians are squirming at the very mention of Enoch Burke’s name and hide behind some pre-prepared word salad to obscure the truth of their own mediocrity, mean-spirited non-values, and cowardice.
Whether you agree with the Burkes or not, is not the point. They are very much part of this new phase in our development and have offered us another gift, that of conscious choice, along the way. Each to their own, as supported by the Constitution of our nation, as it were.
To some extent, I’m still reeling from the unexpected encounter. To have met and had a cuppa with people whose courage I’ve admired and respected from a distance for so long, is a moment in my life I will cherish. And they were so much more than I could ever have expected. My support for Enoch, for his stand for freedom of speech, for his right to practice his religion, for his constitutional rights, for his right not to be bullied out of his job because of some never-even-been-discussed-nationally, agenda that might flip-flop to something else tomorrow, has extended quite deliberately now, to the entire family.
I support them knowing that that support is not needed by them, though it was gracefully acknowledged, and I admire that even more. They are focused on their truth, and listening to and hearing that truth, just being in the presence of it, was uplifting and, actually, restful.
These are the type of people that I would love to see running our country. They represent, for me, the country, the Ireland, that I imagine our ancestors aspired to and fought for.
A truly refreshing cuppa!
